There is no doubt that low and slow BBQ is going from strength to strength in Australia. Nowhere is that more evident than the BBQ competition circuit sanctioned by the ABA, with more than 150 teams registered and competing in a range of events. Today I’m incredibly excited to announce that Moonshine BBQ is sponsoring the Flamin Mongrels BBQ team for the rest of 2016 and into the 2017 season.
When I started Moonshine BBQ, I wanted to focus on creating unique, quality rubs that took BBQ to a new level. So I was thrilled when Brett from the Flamin Mongrels team got in touch to tell me about the results that they were getting in competition with our rubs. The team is currently sitting top 10 in the 2016 competition leaderboard, and have seen amazing results in a number of this year’s comps.
Great BBQ is an art and a science, and when you nail it like these guys do, it is out of this world. I’m thrilled for Moonshine BBQ rubs to be joining the ranks of other great BBQ brands like Heat Beads and Radar Hill Smokers in being part of the team.
With the 2017 season just around the corner, the boy’s next event will be Smokin The Valley, in the beautiful Manning Valley, NSW on October 14-16.
